*Controller I*
A non-sworn civilian position within the Sheriff's Department responsible for entry-level monitoring of the county jail's daily operations. Key duties include overseeing inmate activities to ensure compliance with policies, maintaining security and discipline, monitoring the safety of Correction Officers, and controlling facility access (inmates, visitors, and secure areas) using electronic doors and communication systems. Also handles the processing of inmates and visitors.
Education/Experience: High school diploma or GED, plus relevant experience or demonstrated aptitude for the duties described. Equivalent combinations of education and experience are accepted.
Availability: Must be available for rotating shifts and required to be on-call.
Background Check: Successful completion of a background check, including an NCIC review, confirming no significant criminal history.
This full-time position offers $20.17 an hour, depending on experience, and a comprehensive benefits package.
