The Institute for Juvenile Research (IJR) in the Department of Psychiatry is seeking a Grad Hourly researcher to support several community-partnered research studies. The Grad Hourly researcher will work on various projects under the direction of multiple principal investigators within IJR. IJR’s mission is to develop and promote effective policy and practices to prevent mental health difficulties and relieve the mental health burden of children and families living in prevalent poverty urban communities through research, teaching, and direct service.
The Grad Hourly researcher will assist with quality assurance for multiple clinical studies, ensure trials comply with all regulatory requirements through internal audits, support with standard operating procedures, and site QA reports. Key duties include monitoring trial activities, reviewing documentation, and identifying trends in data discrepancies.

Job Knowledge & Skills, Education, Experience:
Candidate must be currently enrolled in a UIC graduate program (master’s or doctoral program) in Psychology, Public Health, Social Work, or other related social science fields, have a minimum of one year of research-related experience, and have knowledge of research principles, concepts, practices and methods, and regulatory requirements. Experience working with substance use treatment or research is preferred.
Benefits and Compensation:
The previously determined salary range for this position is $31.03-$33.00/hr (commensurate with experience).
