About the Role
As our Talent Acquisition Lead, you'll be our first dedicated talent hire, responsible for building and scaling our recruiting function from the ground up. You'll partner directly with leadership to identify, attract, and close exceptional talent across technical and go-to-market roles. This isn't a "post-and-pray" recruiting role—you'll be a strategic partner who understands our business, builds a strong employer brand, and creates a candidate experience that reflects our mission.
What You'll Do
- Own end-to-end recruiting for technical roles (engineers, data scientists, AI/ML specialists) and business roles (sales, account managers, operations)
- Build and optimize our hiring process, from sourcing strategies to interview frameworks and candidate evaluation
- Develop creative sourcing strategies to find top talent—leveraging LinkedIn, communities, referrals, events, and outbound outreach
- Create and refine our employer brand, including career pages, job descriptions, and candidate communications
- Manage candidate pipeline, coordinate interviews, drive offers, and negotiate compensation packages
- Build relationships with passive candidates and maintain a strong talent pipeline for future needs
- Track recruiting metrics (time-to-hire, pipeline health, offer acceptance rates) and continuously improve processes
- Advise leadership on talent market trends, compensation benchmarking, and competitive intelligence
What We're Looking For
- 2 years of full-cycle recruiting experience, ideally in high-growth startups or tech companies
- Proven track record recruiting for technical roles (software engineers, ML/AI talent, product managers)
- Experience building recruiting processes from scratch—you've been the first or early talent hire before
- Strong understanding of startup dynamics and ability to sell vision over established brand
- Excellent judgment in assessing technical and cultural fit
- Resourceful sourcer who can find creative ways to reach passive candidates
- Data-driven approach to recruiting with strong organizational skills
- Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills
- Comfortable working in ambiguity and wearing multiple hats
Bonus Points
- Experience recruiting for B2B SaaS, AI/ML, or fintech companies
- Background in HR or people operations
- Existing network in the NYC tech ecosystem

- Base salary: $80,000–$140,000 per year, commensurate with experience
