A UHY client is seeking a Senior Tax Manager to join their team. The ideal candidate will have Big 4 public accounting experience, strong ASC 740 expertise, and experience working with large, complex global organizations. Experience with APB 23 and managing highly technical tax matters, including M&A and restructurings, is required.
The Senior Tax Manager role is a hybrid position. This is a full-time, direct hire opportunity offering a competitive salary.
Senior Tax Manager Responsibilities:
- Manage the global tax accounting function for a large, multinational organization.
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting of income taxes in compliance with ASC 740.
- Oversee the preparation and review of quarterly and annual tax provisions.
- Lead the technical analysis of complex tax transactions, including M&A activity, restructurings, and new business initiatives.
- Apply and document APB 23 considerations related to foreign earnings and reinvestment assertions.
- Manage and maintain strong relationships with external auditors, including provision review and audit support.
- Collaborate closely with regional and international tax teams to ensure consistency and accuracy in global tax reporting.
- Provide technical guidance on income tax accounting matters and ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and applicable regulations.
- Support strategic tax planning initiatives across a highly complex global structure.
- Drive process improvements within the global tax reporting function.
Senior Tax Manager Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required; MST and/or CPA strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience working at or with large, complex global companies.
- Big 4 public accounting experience required (experience serving large global clients).
- Strong technical expertise in ASC 740 – Accounting for Income Taxes.
- Experience with APB 23 and global tax reporting matters.
- Proven experience managing relationships with external auditors.
- Extensive experience handling highly complex tax transactions, including M&A and corporate restructurings.
- Strong collaboration skills and experience working with global or regional tax teams.
- Ability to operate effectively in a large, fast-paced, global organization.
- Strong communication skills and executive presence.
