A great UHY client is seeking a Grants Payroll Billing Manager to support critical finance operations across grant accounting, payroll, and billing. The Grants Payroll Billing Manager role is a hybrid position based in the Detroit metro area. This is a contract-to-hire or direct hire opportunity.
Grants Payroll Billing Manager Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee accounting and reporting for 75 grants
- Ensure compliance with grant requirements, reporting, and billing processes
- Handle payroll processing and related accounting functions
- Support general ledger activities and month-end close processes
- Maintain accurate financial records using QuickBooks
- Prepare and analyze reports using Excel to support leadership decision-making
- Assist with upcoming ERP system transition and process improvements
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate and timely financial operations
Grants Payroll Billing Manager Requirements
- Strong experience with grant accounting and grant management
- Payroll processing experience
- Solid understanding of general ledger and accounting cycles
- Experience with QuickBooks (required)
- Advanced Excel skills
- Ability to work independently in a hands-on, evolving environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Nonprofit experience is a plus
