RETAIL PHARMACIST - PRN - Hospital Based

Peachford Hospital is searching for a PRN Pharmacist to work PRN Days in our Retail/Outpatient Pharmacy.

Peachford operates a retail pharmacy - The Peachford Apothecary - that serves our patient population at the time of discharge from an inpatient setting and afterwards. The Peachford Apothecary also serves our employee population and is open to the public. 

Pharmacists at Peachford deliver quality care to patients with varying psychiatric, behavioral and addictive disease diagnoses. They are responsible for accurately and timely dispensing/preparation of medications in response to orders from physicians. Pharmacists maintain compliance with all applicable state and federal laws and/or other regulations relative to dispensing/preparation of medication.

What Will You Get To Do?

Pharmacists are responsible for completing the following duties and tasks:

• Interprets medication orders (verbal and written) and transcribes to computerized patient medication profiles accurately.
• Maintains compliance with all applicable state and federal laws and/or other regulations relative to dispensing/preparation of medication.
• Interprets medication orders (verbal and written) and transcribes to computerized patient medication profiles accurately.
• Maintains accurate, complete pharmacy patient medication profiles.
• Assists with pharmacokinetic consult service and drug dosing regimens per protocol.

Must be a Registered Pharmacist in the state of GA.  Previous retail experience is preferred.  Previous psychiatric, behavioral or mental health nursing experience is helpful but not required.
