The Maintenance Technician performs a wide range of facility maintenance, repair, preventive maintenance, and inspection tasks to support a safe, compliant, and well-maintained physical environment. This role supports building operations by maintaining mechanical systems, completing work orders, assisting with equipment upkeep, and ensuring facility grounds and infrastructure remain in good working condition.
The position works under the direction of the Director of Plant Operations and Maintenance Supervisor and contributes to life safety readiness, regulatory compliance, and daily plant operations.

Qualifications
- Education: High School Degree or equivalent required. Vocational/Technical School preferred.
- Experience: One to three years of experience in related field, preferably building operations or facility maintenance.
- Licensure: Must maintain a valid UT driver's license and CPR certification.
- Additional Requirements:
- Knowledge of general building maintenance including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and HVAC basics.
- Understanding of preventive maintenance programs and inspection routines.
- Knowledge of safe use of hand and power tools.
- Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and lockout/tagout procedures.
- Ability to troubleshoot maintenance issues and complete repairs.
- Strong organization and time management skills.
- Ability to work safely in a healthcare environment.
