Lead Licensed Therapist performs psychiatric social service functions, to include assessments, group therapy, family therapy, treatment planning, discharge planning and coordination with referral sources.

Duties:

• Steps in to fill gaps created by staffing shortages.
• Performs groups for unit therapist when needed.
• Conducts brief behavioral interventions as needed.
• Prepares court documentation and attends hearing.
• Manages accounting of involuntary admissions and documentation
• Assists staff in reviewing and updating treatment plans as needed.
• Trains new staff and interns.
• Assists DCS/DSS with PI/Compliance audits.
• Provides individual therapy sessions for PHP/IOP patients.
• Assists with PHP/IOP specialty track groups as needed.
• Charts every session.
• Charges per service.
• Participates in program development meetings.
• Communicates and coordinates services with supervisor.
• Other duties as assigned by management

Requirements:          

Education requirements:        Minimum of a master’s level in social work, psychology, or a related field.                                    

Work experience requirements:         Minimum three years experience in mental health setting. Involvement in court cases, quality and process improvement and Inpatient and Outpatient/PHP experience.                                    

Required licenses/ certifications/courses:     Full state license(LPC, LMFT, LISW-CP or LISW-AP, etc.) required.
