Title: General Session Clerk
Pay: $20-$25/hr, BUT open to paying more-up to $31/hr for the right candidate/experience

Located: Winnsboro
Hours: Monday-Friday 9am-5pm
The selected candidate will attend court proceedings and trials, interacting directly with defendants, jurors, attorneys, and members of the public. The candidate must be comfortable working in a courtroom environment and handling all aspects of the role with professionalism and confidence.
Position Overview
Seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented General Sessions Court Clerk to provide administrative and courtroom support in a fast-paced court environment. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of courtroom and General Sessions experience, along with strong office and administrative skills. A paralegal background is not required; candidates with strong administrative experience who can learn quickly and work confidently in a courtroom setting are encouraged to apply.
This position requires a high level of accuracy and professionalism, as the work involves court proceedings, legal records, sentencing information, fines and fees, and documentation that becomes part of the public record.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a strong administrative professional with direct courtroom/General Sessions experience who can quickly learn processes and operate independently in a fast-paced environment. This individual must be exceptionally detail-oriented, particularly when recording court proceedings, interpreting sentence sheets, calculating fines and fees, and entering information into the official record. Accuracy is critical, as errors can have significant consequences and court documentation becomes part of the public record.
Paralegal experience is not required. The priority is finding someone with at least one year of General Sessions/courtroom experience OR with solid office and administrative experience.
