Palm Shores Behavioral Health Center is a 65-bed residential treatment facility that provides treatment to adolescent boys and girls, ages 11 – 17. Treatment includes behavioral, emotional, and psychiatric interventions as well as education. Our treatment philosophy is based on trauma-informed care principles and offers distinct progressive phases of care. Located in Manatee County, Southwest Florida offers a diverse mix of lifestyle options. The Director of Risk Management is responsible for safeguarding facility assets, ensuring regulatory compliance, and advancing patient safety and quality of care. The role oversees risk management, performance improvement initiatives, staff education, regulatory readiness, and serves as the Facility Safety Officer to promote a safe and compliant environment.

Qualifications
- Master's Degree required
- Bachelor's Degree required if RN
- A working knowledge of behavioral health management practices and clinical operations.
- An advanced knowledge of state and federal regulatory and various accreditation requirements related to behavioral health management.
- Strong knowledge of Joint Commission, federal and state regulatory standards.
- Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
- Knowledge of crisis and behavior management.
- Must have good verbal and written communication skills in order to communication in a clear a concise manner with patients, families, all regulatory and law enforcement agencies
- Knowledge of healthcare quality and risk management principles
