Job Overview:

Under the supervison of the Sr. BMET, performs: evaluations, repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance on devices used in the care and treatment of patients at assigned UHS facilities. 

General Responsibilities:

• Can perform preventive maintenance (PM) or operational verification procedure (OVP) on 95% of the device types in inventory.
• Can repair 95% of the device types in inventory unassisted.

• Focuses performance to ensure the safest and best possible patient experience. Delivers exceptional service to all customers that meets or exceeds all regulatory requirements and compliance. 

• Assists in developing and strengthening facility and vendor relationships.

• Meets all established key performance indicator (KPI) requirements.

• Demonstrates Service Excellence standards at all times

• Communication and interpersonal skills, basic computer skills, and customer service skills required

• Other duties as assigned.

• Minimum of two years of technical school/Associates degree required, Bachelors degree preferred.  
• Five to eight years of related experience minimum.
