- Schedule / Hours Full-time inpatient schedule
- Call Shared call (weeknights by phone; weekend rounding)
- Patient Volume Adult and Adolescent inpatient caseload (manageable, team-supported)
- Location Petersburg, VA (Richmond metro area)
- Practice Setting Inpatient Behavioral Health Hospital (Adult, Military or Adolescent Unit)
- Support / Care Team Psychiatrists, APPs, nursing staff, therapists, case managers
- Provide inpatient psychiatric care to adult and adolescent patients with mental health and substance use disorders
- Conduct admission evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans
- Lead multidisciplinary treatment teams to ensure coordinated care
- Manage daily patient care, including medication management and progress evaluations
- Participate in on-call coverage and weekend rounding as scheduled
- Collaborate with physicians, APPs, and clinical support staff
- Document patient care, treatment plans, and clinical updates

- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry
- Active or eligible Virginia medical license
- Minimum of 4 years of training/practice experience
- Inpatient psychiatry experience preferred
- Meets credentialing requirements for medical staff
