Mountain Youth Academy in Mountain City, Tennessee is centrally located near Johnson City, TN, Boone, NC, and Abingdon, VA. We are a 120-bed residential treatment facility and assist in the evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of behavioral health issues for our young adolescent patients.
We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Accounts Payable Clerk to join our finance team. This position is responsible for processing invoices, maintaining vendor records, and ensuring timely and accurate payments.
- Invoice Processing: Review, verify, and code a high volume of invoices into the accounting system (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite).
- Three-Way Matching: Compare purchase orders, receiving reports, and vendor invoices to ensure accuracy before payment.
- Payment Disbursement: Prepare and execute weekly check runs, wire transfers, and ACH payments.
- Vendor Management: Act as the primary point of contact for vendor inquiries, reconcile monthly statements, and resolve billing discrepancies.
- Expense Reports: Audit and process employee travel and business expense claims for reimbursement.
- Record Keeping: Maintain organized digital and physical files for year-end reporting.

Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Accounting or related field preferred
- 1–3 years of accounts payable or accounting experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (QuickBooks, SAP, or similar)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
