Responsibilities
Windsor Laurelwood is seeking a Full Time HIM Technician!
Position Summary
The HIM Technician is responsible for collecting charts from units, assembly & analysis of inpatient and outpatient charts, fulfillment of Release of Information requests, copying patient charts for audits, pulling charts for for units, assisting outside phone calls, filing, reviewing patient charts for accuracy and report errors to HIM supervisor/director, responsible for sending transition records to the continuing care provider. Assist in other daily departmental activities as required.

Qualifications
Job Requirements
Education: Prefer graduate of a medical records program
Experience: A minimum of (3) years in medical records. Proficient in Excel and Word. Able to type at a speed of 40 words per minute.
License/Certifications: Preferred RHIT, RHIA, CCS, AAPC
Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift 25 pounds to transfer files and boxes of charts
Work Environment: typical business office with continuous low voices and office machine noise
This individual must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. Diplomacy and discretion are essential, as well as excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple projects. Professional demeanor and appearance required.
