Computer Systems Specialist I
Department: Information Services
FLSA Status: Part-Time, Non-Exempt
Salary Level: 4
Salary Range: $21.75 – $26.10/hr
Position Summary:
This role involves a wide range of responsibilities including first-level technical support, managing user setups, setting up computer equipment, and running production jobs and processes.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
• Provide first-level technical support via phone, email, chat, or in person
• Troubleshoot technical issues and guide users through solutions
• Log, track, and resolve service tickets within established timeframes
• Escalate complex issues as needed
• Perform routine maintenance on workstations, printers, and peripherals
• Set up and configure computer equipment and peripherals
• Manage user account setup and access removal
• Maintain inventory of computer equipment and supplies
• Execute production jobs and processes accurately and efficiently
• Maintain documentation, service records, and knowledge base
• Collaborate with IT staff and departments to resolve issues
Required Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 2 years of related technical support experience
• Knowledge of computer systems, mobile devices, and applications
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve basic technical issues
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
Working Conditions:
• Frequent sitting, reaching, and bending
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Fully in-office position
*This position is based on Oʻahu and requires candidates to be able to reliably commute to the work location
