Under supervision: mowing grass, managing weeds and pests, trimming shrubs and trees, and removing leaves and debris.

Maintaining landscape equipment.

Planting flower beds, shrubs and trees, mulching, irrigating, and other related landscape duties.

Under supervision this position will provide assistance maintaining the grounds on the UGA Griffin Campus. Work includes planting flower beds; irrigating; planting and trimming shrubs and trees; mowing grass; spraying pesticides; trimming shrubs; helping maintain lawn equipment; and other related grounds keeping duties.
Relevant/Preferred Education, Experience, Licensure, Certification In Position
Graduated from a high school and experience in grounds maintenance work is preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities And/or Competencies
Follow instructions and work with grounds maintenance equipment.
Physical Demands
Working outside under adverse weather conditions; heavy lifting; walking; standing; reaching; turning; bending; climbing; proper use and operations of landscape equipment.
