What are the responsibilities and job description for the Groundskeeper position at UG2?
UG2 is seeking a reliable and hardworking Groundskeeper to maintain the cleanliness, safety, and overall appearance of a one-story shopping center property. The ideal candidate takes pride in creating a clean and welcoming environment for tenants, customers, and visitors while working safely and efficiently in all weather conditions.
Key Responsibilities
- Empty and replace trash can liners throughout the property
- Pick up litter and debris across parking lots, sidewalks, landscaped areas, and common spaces
- Operate a golf cart to patrol and maintain the property efficiently
- Operate a street sweeper to maintain clean roadways and parking areas
- Use pressure washers to clean sidewalks, curbs, storefront areas, and other exterior surfaces
- Monitor the property for cleanliness, safety hazards, and maintenance concerns
- Assist with seasonal and weather-related cleanup, including rain, snow, or storm debris removal as needed
- Maintain equipment and tools in safe working condition
- Follow all company safety procedures and property regulations
- Provide professional and courteous interaction with tenants, customers, and team members
Qualifications
- Valid Driver’s License required
- Previous groundskeeping, janitorial, landscaping, or property maintenance experience preferred
- Ability to operate or learn to operate equipment such as golf carts, street sweepers, and pressure washers
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean environment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable attendance and punctuality required
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and work outdoors for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
- Must be able to work in all types of weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and snow
