The Forklift Operator I is responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials between inventory, production, and shipping areas. This role supports production schedules by ensuring timely material handling, accurate documentation, and adherence to safety and operating procedures. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Transport raw materials from inventory to production lines as scheduled
- Move work-in-process materials between workstations as required
- Transfer finished goods from production to inventory or shipping areas
- Band, wrap, package, and label materials and finished goods according to standards
- Support production teams by minimizing material flow delays
- Complete daily forklift inspections and required safety checklists
- Maintain clean, organized warehouse and yard areas
- Accurately complete production, inventory, and material movement documentation
- Follow all company safety policies and forklift operating procedures
- Participate in safety meetings, Continuous Improvement (CI), and team initiatives
- Perform other duties as assigned
Required
- Minimum 9th grade education
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Ability to obtain forklift certification
- High school diploma or GED
- Previous forklift experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment
- Basic math skills and familiarity with inventory handling practices
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Frequent standing, walking, and operation of powered industrial equipment
- Work performed in a manufacturing or warehouse environment with varying temperatures and noise levels
- Full-time, onsite role at the Buffalo flagship facility
- Shift assignment based on business needs
- Shift differential may apply for eligible shifts in accordance with company policy
Salary Pay Range: $18.00-$25.00 per hour dependent on experience*
