HARD Manufacturing Company, located in Buffalo, NY, is a leading manufacturer of quality hospital cribs and youth beds both domestically and internationally.
This position is responsible for the shipping/receiving and forklift operation. The individual works in the production plant and is responsible for material handling, packing & shipping of finished products, and receiving of purchased parts and raw materials. The ideal candidate is comfortable interacting with outside vendors, office staff and plant personnel to accomplish their work. All production workers at Hard Manufacturing must be willing to work in other areas of the production process when needed.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Receive all inbound shipments and transport materials to appropriate plant location
- Inspect for any damages, shortages, or quality deficiencies on in-bound materials
- Move all finished items to shipping dock for pick up
- Work with drivers to load and secure finished products onto trucks for deliver
- Work with assembly areas on final packaging of products as needed
- Carry out regular checks on the forklift
- Assist in our recycling and trash removal from the plant
- Help maintain a safe and orderly environment of the facilities
Experience and Education
- Proven experience as forklift operator
- Experienced in handling over-sized materials
- Experienced in driving a forklift with a 7000-pound capacity
- Proficient in loading/unloading LTL, FTL, Containers, and moving trucks
- Minimum High School Diploma/GED
- Ideal candidate has at least 4 years of experience in manufacturing/warehouse environment or relevant training

Pay: $21.50 - $23.40 per hour
