Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Sales Support Administrator to support our team of advisors and their UHNW clients in navigating the life insurance underwriting and application process. This role is central to the delivery of high-touch service and requires strong coordination with clients, advisors, carriers, and internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Case Management:
- Manage the end-to-end application process for complex life insurance cases (domestic and foreign national).
- Serve as the primary liaison between clients, advisors, underwriters, and carrier partners.
- Ensure timely ordering and follow-up of medical exams, financial documents, and third-party reports.
Underwriting Oversight:
- Coordinate with carriers and advocate for best possible underwriting offers.
- Pre-screen cases with carriers to identify potential underwriting issues and strategize accordingly.
- Review and summarize attending physician statements (APS), lab results, and financial documents.
Communication & Reporting:
- Keep advisors and internal teams updated throughout the underwriting process.
- Clearly communicate underwriting status, requirements, and carrier decisions.
- Maintain CRM and case tracking systems (SmartOffice, Salesforce, etc.) with accuracy.
Client Experience:
- Deliver white-glove service to UHNW clients and their family offices or advisors.
- Maintain the highest level of professionalism and confidentiality.
- Guide clients through forms, disclosures, and sensitive medical inquiries.
Qualifications
- 2 years of experience in life insurance case management or underwriting support, ideally in an advanced markets or high-net-worth environment.
- Familiarity with large face amount policies, international underwriting, and complex financial documentation.
- Strong working knowledge of major carriers (e.g., John Hancock, Prudential, Lincoln, etc.) and their underwriting protocols.
- Experience with SmartOffice, iPipeline, or similar platforms preferred.
- Excellent communication, organization, and client service skills.
- Ability to manage multiple high-priority cases simultaneously and proactively resolve issues.
Preferred Characteristics
- Experience working with insurance agency carriers or elite producer groups.
- Understanding of estate planning, premium financing, and advanced insurance concepts.
- Bilingual (Spanish or Portuguese) is a must for international clientele.
