- Develops and implements strategic public relations initiatives to enhance the organization’s brand and public image
- Manages media relations by building and maintaining relationships with journalists, editors, and influencers
- Crafts press releases, media kits, and other communication materials to effectively convey key messages
- Supports planning and coordination of events to promote organizational visibility and stakeholder engagement
- Monitors media coverage and analyzes campaign effectiveness to inform future PR strategies
- Collaborates with internal teams to ensure consistent messaging across all communication channels
- Handles crisis communication efforts to protect and manage the organization’s reputation
- Maintains media contact databases and tracks industry trends to stay current with best practices
Minimum Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, or a related field
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in public relations, communications, or a related field
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and PowerPoint
- Experience managing media relations and developing press materials (e.g., press releases, media pitches)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Familiarity with media monitoring tools and PR analytics
