Responsibilities
Under the direction of the Plant Operations Director or designated Supervisor, duties of the Painter include, but are not limited to; painting, varnishing, stains, enamels, lacquers and redecorates walls, woodwork and fixtures. Mixes paint and matches colors; uses brushes, sprayers or rollers to apply paint or other coatings. Removes old finish using scraper, chemical compounds or blowtorch. Fills nail holes, joints and cracks in walls with plaster or other filler. Replaces door or window glass. Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures. Estimates time and material costs on painting and redecorating projects. Requisitions new painting supplies and equipment. Must be able to work independently days, nights and weekends as needed.

Qualifications
Education:
- High School Diploma/GED
- Valid Driver's License
- This position is required to drive a company vehicle and must meet the requirements of UF Health Central Florida Vehicle Policy.
- Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English
