Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and oversight for daily unit operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care
- Drive strategic planning and execution of nursing initiatives aligned with organizational goals and nursing vision
- Lead, coach, and develop nursing staff to foster a culture of accountability, engagement, and professional growth
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, accreditation requirements, and organizational policies
- Monitor and improve patient outcomes through data analysis, quality improvement (CQI), and performance metrics
- Manage staffing models, scheduling, and resource allocation based on patient acuity and care trends
- Oversee departmental budget, productivity, and cost management initiatives
- Promote evidence-based practice, nursing research, and continuous clinical education
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient care delivery and experience
Minimum Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Nursing (MSN) required
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Florida
- National nursing board certification in specialty area required (or obtained within agreed timeframe)
- Minimum of five (5) years of professional nursing experience
- Demonstrated leadership experience in a clinical or hospital setting
- Prior Nurse Manager or leadership experience in an acute care environment
