The Educator is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining clinical education programs for UF Health St. John’s employees. This position delivers educational trainings using a variety of mediums while assessing employee training needs and performing ongoing evaluation of implemented programs.
Responsibilities
- Develops, implements and maintains clinical education programs for UF Health St. John’s employees and members of the community.
- Develops unit-specific orientation programs, educational programs, and computer-based learning modules.
- Coordinates annual competency validation for staff.
- Coordinates student programs.
- Serves as a primary resource person for UF Health St. John’s employees with regards to clinical education and training programs.
- Provides educational offerings through a variety of media including lectures, written materials, on-line presentations, role-playing and other media, as appropriate.
- Complies with education-related record keeping requirements.
- Assists with development of policies and procedures, related to clinical education programs.
- Maintains current working knowledge of Federal, State, and Joint Commission requirements as applied to development and implementation of educational programs.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in related area of study is required.
3 years of Clinical Healthcare related field and/or Clinical Educator experience is required.
Preferences:
Master’s Degree in related area of study
Basic Life Support (BLS) to be obtained within 30 days of employment.
