Responsible for the effective operations of their nursing service line in a manner that ensures patient safety, meets or exceeds national quality standards, and is responsive to the needs of the patients and their families.
Responsibilities
Leads and directs the service line creating a culture of high clinical and professional standards, family centered care and service to internal and external customers. Provides overall direction and leadership for the provision of safe, effective and cost efficient patient care within the service line. Accountable for departmental outcomes and 24-hour operations of the designated care divisions and service line. Advocates for patients and families. Promotes patient engagement and ensure a consistently outstanding experience for patients. Ensures practice that is ethical and in accordance with current practice standards.
Qualifications
Bachelor's in Nursing required, MSN or MHA preferred.
Three years in critical care or cardiovascular nursing required.
Three years nursing leadership required.
