Overview
The Lab Support Staff Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the daily operations, prioritizes and delegates the technical and administrative functions of the assigned section. Develop staffing plan, monitors time and attendance and performs payroll functions. Act as a preceptor for new hires and facilitate department in-services. Coordination of evaluation and competency checklists for new hires. Monitors and maintains adequate supply levels. Participates in regulatory surveys, coordinates the receiving and processing of inpatient and outpatient specimens for testing. Work is performed under minimal supervision and is carried to completion independently. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously is essential.
Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements: Bachelor degree preferred. 3-5 years progressively responsible administrative experience with project task management, Previous laboratory experience is recommended. Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint, Publisher or similar desktop publishing software preferred. Must demonstrate good technical writing skills and excellent communication and organizational skills. Motor Vehicle Operator Designation: Employees in this position will operate vehicles for an assigned business purpose as a 'non-frequent driver'. LIcensure/Certification/Registration: None indicated
