Responsibilities
Works closely with the Histology Technical Supervisor, Histology Manager, Histo Technologists and Pathologists in the performance of diagnostic histological procedures. The duties include, but are not limited to, embedding, cutting, staining, performing IHC stains, instrument operation and QC/QA documentation, loading and unloading tissue processors, performing frozen section procedures, grossing specimens, and accessioning specimens in the Pathology computer system. This position requires an individual who is highly skilled in areas that they are licensed. This individual helps maintain an excellent rapport between other Laboratory Staff and other Hospital Departments.
