Located in the heart of Evans, GA, Udermic Health is a growing dermatology practice dedicated to delivering exceptional care to our community. We are expanding our team and seeking a friendly, dependable, and goal-oriented Medical Assistant who shares our passion for high-quality patient service.
As a Medical Assistant at Udermic Health, you will work closely with our providers across all aspects of patient care. You will serve as a key point of contact for patients and their families, ensuring every individual receives compassionate, attentive, and efficient treatment.
Duties
Clinical Tasks (under supervision):
- Taking and recording vital signs.
- Preparing patients for medical examinations and procedures- to include assisting providers with procedures and scribing for providers.
- Assisting with medication administration as directed by a physician.
- Labeling and logging specimens accurately for pathology processing.
- Preparing, cleaning, and stocking exam rooms.
- Processing surgical instruments while adhering to proper sterile processing techniques.
- Assisting with patient intake by obtaining medical history and updating patient records.
- Communicating with patients to follow up on test results or procedures.
- Inventorying and ordering office supplies.
- Ensuring smooth patient flow throughout the office by assisting in other areas when needed or requested.
- Promote a positive image on the phone and in person when speaking with patients, families, and colleagues.
- Manual dexterity (such as sitting, standing, repetitive movements) for handling delicate tissue specimens and operating laboratory equipment.
- The ability to recognize problems, identify their causes, and make corrections using established protocols (analytical skills).
- Completing daily, weekly, monthly Quality Assurance logs and competencies.
- Other duties as assigned

- Knowledge with Electronic Medical Records
- Demonstrates critical thinking and problem solving skills

- Demonstrate positive customer service skills
- Ability to function in a fast paced environment, multitasking
- Attention to detail
- Ability to follow all HIPAA, OSHA, CLIA standards, along with internal office policies and procedures
