Job Description
Under the direction of the Director of Audiology, the Senior Audiologist is responsible for providing a full array of clinical audiology services, and for representing the audiology division in a professional and competent fashion. The Audiologist/Senior Audiologist assists the Audiology Director in the development and implementation of new programs, policies and procedures. The Senior Audiologist supervises and will be the lead professional for a minimum of one clinical service. The Senior Audiologist demonstrates leadership and professional skills and functions as a mentor for student externs and other clinical audiologists.
This applies to both adult and pediatric Audiologist functions in the clinical settings at all UCSF Health sites (Mt. Zion, Mission Bay, Parnassus, joint UCSF health partnerships, Satellite Clinics, or with UCSF Faculty at other off-site clinic sites, et al).
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
▪ AuD or PhD in Audiology
▪ For UCSF incumbents only, an equivalent combination of education (i.e., Master’s degree) and experience prior to implementation of AuD
▪ Sr. Audiologist requires five or more years of post-licensure experience in the field of Audiology or a minimum of three years of post-licensure experience in the field of Audiology at UCSF
Preferred Qualifications
▪ Previous experience mentoring student externs and other clinical audiologists
▪ Current California Dispensing Audiologist License
License/Certification
▪ Sr. Audiologist requires Current California Audiologist License
▪ Staff Audiologist requires Current California Audiologist license or a Provisional Audiologist license and full licensure within three (3) months of hire.
