CHILD CARE WORKER
SUMMARY OF DUTIES:
Staff will be responsible for providing childcare for children in Batavia and Albion locations of UConnectCare, Inc. patients and recoverees, monitoring the safety of children in care, and engaging children in care in age-appropriate play and learning experiences. This will include teaching basic concepts (such as good hygiene practices, manners, etc.) and reading to, counting with, and singing with children. Staff must promote an atmosphere that is inviting to children and their parents/guardians and fosters the growth of each child’s social and developmental skills. Staff will be expected to change soiled diapers and/or clothing as needed, ensure each child is fed while in care, and monitor each child for any signs of illness or cause for concern. Children in care will range from six weeks to school age.
QUALIFICATIONS
Individuals must be 18 years of age or older. A High School Diploma or its equivalent is strongly preferred. Prior experience in childcare is preferred, but not necessary.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIP
This position is supervised by the Child Care Supervisor. This position does not supervise any other position.
Valid NYS driver’s license and method of transportation required. Must be addiction free, including tobacco. Pre-employment background check/post offer drug screening required. CARF and NHSC accredited. EOE
