Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled LPN - Medical Oncology/Hematology professional to join our team. As an LPN in this role, you will provide direct patient care for diverse populations within named Hematology/Oncology Community Clinics, working closely with faculty physicians, fellows, residents, medical students, nursing staff, patient services staff, and ancillary personnel.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care, including physical examinations, administering medications, and obtaining vital signs.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement effective care plans.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure seamless care transitions.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient interactions and treatments.
Requirements:
- Possess a current California license as a vocational nurse with IV therapy and blood withdrawal certification.
- Hold Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- Demonstrate knowledge of instruments and supplies used for physical examinations and procedures.
- Show ability to recognize abnormal laboratory values and report them to physicians.
