Job Description
Brief Job Summary
This role involves providing direct patient care in trauma/emergency situations, assisting nurses with routine patient care, and having knowledge of suturing and splinting techniques.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide basic patient care skills and follow infection control practices.
- Assist nurses in transporting patients and preparing wounds for treatment.
- Perform EKGs, finger stick blood sugar checks, and collect specimens.
- Set up equipment for procedures and assist with special procedures.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Knowledge of suturing and suture removal, dressing application, and splinting.
- BLS certification from AHA or ACA.
- Skills in CPR and EKG's.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull.
