What are the responsibilities and job description for the Outreach Manager position at UBMD Emergency Medicine?
MATTERS (a division of UBMD Emergency Medicine) is a multistate substance use treatment and resource referral network that connects individuals to outpatient follow-up care and harm reduction resources.
The Outreach Manager will provide strategic leadership and build capacity for the MATTERS Network, while supporting and developing a team of regional outreach coordinators
Primary Functions
- Lead development and execution of strategy for Platform success and growth in New York
- In collaboration with leadership, align portfolio strategy with organizational goals
- Provide strategic oversight of partnership expansion and outreach efforts across New York
- Develop a team of Outreach Coordinators and Support Service Coordinators including but not limited to:
- Direct Supervision
- Process and workflow optimization/support
- Staff onboarding and development
- Develop, facilitate, and deliver presentations on the MATTERS program and emerging trends in behavioral health as needed
- Collaborate with other departments to improve the success of outreach initiatives
- Manage and improve portfolio’s internal processes (data management, CRM implementation, resource allocation and documentation)
- Provide subject matters expertise as related to New York portfolio and skillset
- Support team through escalated partnership issues
- As part of Outreach strategy, explore and recommend new outreach initiatives/service/network expansion opportunities for organization
Qualifications
- 5 years of direct supervision experience in a complex environment
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with a variety of people, backgrounds, roles, and styles in both verbal and written form
- Ability to think critically and creatively solve problems
- Ability to constantly shift priorities in a highly dynamic environment
- Ability to deal with sensitive issues with diplomacy and discretion
- Must maintain HIPAA-compliant access controls and follow approved procedures for accessing systems containing PHI and ensures third-party services and tools are used in compliance with HIPAA and SOC 2 requirements.
Job Requirements
- Approximately 40 hours/week work schedule (hybrid schedule available)
- Due to the nature of the referral network, the Outreach Manager may work outside of business hours, primarily in response to emergency referrals of a patient in crisis from external partners.
- Requires travel for program expansion purposes.
- Must have a driver’s license with a clean driving record and must have reliable transportation.
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field.
