Title: Mechanic I, Utilities

Position Summary
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, Supervisor, or Lead, the Mechanic I, Utilities will be responsible for the maintenance and support of utility systems, including clean and dirty utilities, chillers, boilers, and waste management systems. The selected candidate will support manufacturing operations by executing preventive and corrective maintenance activities while ensuring compliance with GMP standards.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma with at least 1 year of relevant industry experience, OR
- Associate Degree in a relevant technical discipline with 0 years of experience, OR
- Equivalent combination of education and experience.
Required Skills & Experience
- Knowledge of industrial maintenance disciplines.
- Experience in biotechnology or pharmaceutical manufacturing environments is preferred.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with experience repairing utility equipment and responding to facility alarms.
- Exposure to control and automation systems such as:
- PAS (Process Automation Systems)
- BAS (Building Automation Systems)
- PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers)
- Other automation platforms
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues in an industrial manufacturing environment.
- Strong planning and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments and management levels.
