About the Role
A leading semiconductor manufacturer is seeking an experienced Process Engineer to support MOCVD-based epitaxial growth for high-voltage device development. This role involves hands-on process engineering, recipe development, material troubleshooting, and close collaboration with device and foundry engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Support MOCVD process manufacturing on multi-wafer production reactors for high-voltage devices.
- Develop MOCVD recipes aligned with device structures and performance requirements.
- Troubleshoot epitaxial material growth issues and drive corrective actions.
- Monitor and improve equipment performance metrics and reactor productivity.
- Ensure epitaxial materials meet SPC and quality standards.
- Support and document production action plans, including FMEA activities.
- Lead yield improvement and uptime optimization for ongoing epi-wafer production.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop next-generation high-voltage FETs for low- and high-power applications.
- Participate in reactor maintenance activities as needed.
- Work in a cleanroom environment while adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in MOCVD manufacturing of III-V nitrides materials.
- Master’s degree in Materials Science or a related field (Ph.D. preferred).
- Ability to work a split-week schedule, including partial weekend coverage.
- Experience with GaN material growth, ideally using Veeco MOCVD tools.
Preferred Skills
- Strong understanding of epitaxial processes, SPC, and semiconductor manufacturing.
- Experience supporting high-volume reactor operations.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex material and equipment issues.
- Familiarity with FMEA and continuous improvement methodologies.
