Role Overview
This role supports a state regulatory division responsible for overseeing condominiums, timeshares, and mobile homes. The Compliance Officer will review and process constituent complaints, analyze applicable Florida statutes, and communicate disposition decisions to the public in a professional and organized manner.
Key Responsibilities
Work schedule is Monday Friday, 8:00 AM 5:00 PM. Position is onsite at one of two Ft. Lauderdale office locations. No overtime or weekend work required. This is a short-term contract; no benefits (PTO or paid holidays) are provided.

Role Overview

Key Responsibilities
- Contact complainants/constituents to discuss filed complaint details
- Read and analyze Florida statutes in relation to complaints received
- Advise complainants on the Division's jurisdiction and case closure reasons
- Provide appropriate resources or referrals to constituents
- Draft written correspondence to complainants following supervisor approval
- Close cases by entering appropriate codes, activities, and statutes in the Versa system
- Document all actions in the OnBase case management system
- Ability to speak, read, and write in English fluently
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Excellent written and oral communication with the public
- Minimum 1 year of experience reading and interpreting Florida State Statutes
- Minimum 3 years of experience working with the public in a professional environment
- Minimum 1 year of experience analyzing public complaints
- Exceptional organizational skills and ability to commit to project timelines
- Experience using Versa Regulations (DBPR)
- Experience using the OnBase document management system
- Bachelor's Degree
