What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dispatch Coordinator – Last Mile Delivery position at UB Logistics Express LLC?
We are a fast-paced last-mile delivery company operating with up to 100 drivers and a dispatch team of 3. We are looking for a high-performing Dispatch Coordinator who is reliable, decisive, and a true team player.
This is not a desk-only job. You must be willing to step in, problem-solve in real time, and go on the road when drivers are short or routes need support.
Key Responsibilities
- Dispatch and support daily routes to ensure zero route drops
- Work closely with drivers, dispatch team, and two Senior Operations Managers
- Monitor and manage:
- Driver attendance & punctuality
- Break-time and working-hours compliance
- Netradyne safety & compliance
- ADP time punches and attendance tracking
- Coordinate rescues:
- Drive out to assist stuck drivers
- Deliver supplies or provide on-road support when needed
- Assist with fleet maintenance and safety coordination
- Handle scheduling and last-minute operational changes
- Make quick, high-pressure decisions to keep operations running smoothly
- Maintain professionalism, honesty, and accountability at all times
Requirements
- Must be legally authorized to work in New York State
- Strong computer skills and ability to learn systems quickly
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Highly punctual, honest, and dependable
- Willing to work long shifts (up to 10–12 hours when needed)
- Willing to go on the road and deliver when required
- Ability to manage and communicate with large driver teams (up to 100 drivers)
Preferred (Nice to Have)
- Previous dispatch, logistics, or last-mile delivery experience
- Familiarity with ADP, Netradyne, or similar systems
- Own vehicle (strong plus)
- Problem-solver mentality with leadership potential
