Description
The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) College of Nursing (CON) is seeking a dedicated and experienced nursing faculty member to join our team. This position will primarily support teaching responsibilities within the concept-based Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing (ABSN) program in Northwest Arkansas. The faculty member will also contribute to the scholarship and service missions of CON. This is a full-time, 12-month faculty appointment (Tenure-track or Non-tenure track).
Qualifications
- Master’s or higher degree in nursing required.
- Current unencumbered RN or advanced practice nursing license with eligibility for licensure in Arkansas.
- Two (2) years of minimum teaching experience in a baccalaureate nursing program.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Doctoral degree.
- Experience with simulation or teaching in a concept-based curriculum.
Responsibilities:
- Oversees the day-to-day activities of the program.
- Provides leadership in curricular development.
- Contributes to strategic planning.
- Oversees program evaluation.
- Contributes to student recruitment and retention efforts.
- Participates in accreditation and program reports and contributes to the development of academic policies.
