Schedules: Monday - Friday, 7am - 5:30pm

Job Description

Performs positron emission Tomography/computerized axial Tomography (PET-CT) hybrid imaging, using a single device in a single diagnostic section, combining noninvasive, structural and metabolic assessment of the patient’s body. Under the direction of a radiologist/nuclear medicine physician, performs PET-CT at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical details. May be assigned a variety of other duties by department management to include, but not limited to quality control, patient escort services and participation in a variety of training, committee work and maintenance of ACR accreditation.

Qualifications

Required: High school diploma or equivalent required. Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) in Radiography or Nuclear Medicine, or certified by The Nuclear Medicine Certification Board (NMTCB) in Nuclear Medicine. Registry must be obtained within six (6) months of hire. Preferred: Two years’ experience in general Nuclear Medicine or CT. Ability to demonstrate some cross-section anatomy and handling radioactive tracer in a safe manor is desired. Required: Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) in Radiography or Nuclear Medicine, or certified by The Nuclear Medicine Certification Board (NMTCB) in Nuclear Medicine. Registry must be obtained within six (6) months of hire. Current CPR certification or must be obtained within 30 days of employment. Preferred: Advanced certification in CT and PET.
