Job Description
Oversees electrical maintenance and repair work in the hospital, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations while leading a team of electricians.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED and eight (8) years of related experience is required. Associates degree OR technical diploma in Electrical Systems, Electrical Technology or a related field is preferred. State of Alabama (or reciprocal state) MC; NICET FAS II; and City of Birmingham MC is required. ASHE Senior Mechanic Evaluation and Certification for Healthcare (SRMECH) Certification required within 12 months of employment. Driving record should meet University underwriting guidelines to drive vehicle in performance of University business. Current guidelines include possession of a valid driver's license issued in the United States, at least 21 years of age and at least 3 years of driving experience. Must maintain an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).Why Work at UAB Medicine
