Position Description
Work Schedule: Flexi Irregular, non-benefitted
Work Location: Otolaryngology Research, The Kirklin Clinic
Under the supervision of a certified audiologist, to provide intervention and assessment services to patients needing audiological evaluation and amplification. To conduct comprehensive audiological evaluations, amplification interventions, and patient and family education in the inpatient and outpatient setting.
This 40 hours per week externship provides a stipend over a 46–52-week period, determined by the university.
Position Requirements
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Currently working on Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.). Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement.
License, Certification And/Or Registration
Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification required.

- Have successfully completed all requirements of their Doctor of Audiology program at an ASHA-accredited university by May 2025
- Be eligible for extern licensure in the State of Alabama, check http://abespa.alabama.gov/
