Job Description Summary -Develops and employs computational tools to analyze biological data. Supports the identification of new drug targets and biomarkers as well as the validationof existing drug targets. Emphasises on developing cutting edge techniques and implementing them successfully within project teams.Utilizes existing algorithms, techniques, and statistical methodologies but also responsible for developing novel ones. Oversees design of new experiments. Job Description Major accountabilities: Responsible for leading projects (Scientific and operational management) related to design, development, and construction of technology tools, strategic working groups, and systems to support knowledge-based drug discovery -Drives broad use of internal and external cutting edge tools -Collaborates in developing strategies. Drives successful high impact external and/or internal collaborations -Recruit talent, coach and develop reports -Identifies issues and proposes mitigating plans to facilitate decision -making -Establishes best practices, and ensures appropriate use of resources -Establishes internal policies and standards -Operational responsibility for quality and compliance -Reporting of technical complaints / adverse events / special case scenarios related to Novartis products within 24 hours of receipt -Distribution of marketing samples (where applicable) Key performance indicators: Feedback from project sponsors and key stakeholders -Meet financial and operating performance targets globally as set -Meet service organisations performance indicators as set -Adherence to Novartis policy and guidelines Minimum Requirements: Work Experience: P&L or Unit Accountability.
