A day on the route
Start your day Monday–Friday between 4:15 a.m. and 9:00 a.m., wrap up between about 3:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m., or when every delivery is complete. Schedules can shift with business needs, and you may work overtime and occasional rotating Saturdays. Expect 8–12 hours most days.
You’ll pre-trip your box truck (under 26,001 lbs.), confirm your handheld device is synced, and load efficiently. Over 10–20 stops, you’ll drive safely in any weather, communicate ETAs, secure loads, collect payments when required, and log fuel and deliveries accurately. At day’s end, you’ll complete a post-trip inspection and close out records.
What you’ll do
- Operate a box truck under 26,001 lbs. and complete one of our established regional routes
- Make 10–20 on-time deliveries per day with a strong focus on safety and customer service
- Maintain accurate driver, fuel, and delivery logs in accordance with policy and law
- Complete pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections daily
- Load/unload products; lift 50 lbs consistently and up to 80 lbs occasionally, using team lifts or mechanical aids for commercial tires
- Exert up to 40 lbs of pushing force with barrels or industrial/agricultural tires
- Operate powered industrial equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, order pickers) as needed
- Use a provided handheld device to manage stops and proof of delivery
- Collect customer payments when applicable
- Collaborate clearly with customers, dispatch, and teammates
- Pitch in on other job-related tasks as assigned
What you’ll bring
- 21 years of age
- At least 1 year of professional driving (box truck or larger) and successful completion of our road test
- Valid driver’s license with a record that meets company policy
- Current DOT Medical Card per DOT/FMCSA guidelines
- Ability to consistently lift 50 lbs; occasionally 80 lbs; push up to 40 lbs with certain products
- Trainable on forklifts/high-reach equipment with safe operating habits
- Customer-first mindset and clear communication
- Ability to follow directions and standard operating procedures
- Willingness to work overtime as needed
Safety, physical demands, and environment
Qualified visual, auditory, physical, and mental ability to operate equipment safely, with or without reasonable accommodation. You’ll wear steel/composite toe boots, a safety vest, harness, seatbelt, and SRL as required. We provide all PPE except boots. Expect moderate noise, changing weather, and occasional fumes associated with tires and car parts/lubricants.
