We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Box Truck Driver to join our team. Duties
- Safely operate a delivery vehicle to transport goods to designated locations.
- Load and unload products, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
- Navigate assigned routes efficiently while adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including any discrepancies or issues encountered during transit.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery status and any potential delays.
- Utilize manual transmission vehicles when required, demonstrating proficiency in driving techniques.
- Assist in warehouse duties as needed, including inventory management and equipment operation (forklift, pallet jack).
Requirements
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role involving route driving and heavy lifting.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics processes is preferred.
- Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles safely and efficiently.
- Strong physical stamina for lifting heavy items and performing manual labor tasks.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; additional certifications for operating forklifts or pallet jacks are a plus.
- Strong communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
