Job Overview:
As a CDL Driver with Raitz Family Farms, you will play a key role in delivering feed and commodities safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate has 2 years of CDL experience (preferred but not required) and enjoys working independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment. Safety, reliability, and professionalism are essential in this fast-paced role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate commercial vehicles, including automatic and standard trucks.
- Perform route driving for efficient delivery of feed, commodities, and other materials.
- Conduct digital pre- and post-trip inspections via company-provided cell phone.
- Arrive on time every shift (on time means early!).
- Follow all Department of Transportation (DOT) and local regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and site supervisors regarding delivery status.
- Report any mechanical issues promptly to the maintenance department.
- Maintain a clean and safe truck inside and out.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures while adapting to unexpected situations.
- Bring a positive attitude and have fun while on the job!
Requirements:
- Valid Texas CDL with a clean driving record.
- Minimum 2 years CDL experience preferred (not required).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must pass a DOT physical exam to confirm fitness for driving.
- Strong knowledge of driving rules and regulations.
- Courteous and professional on the road and at delivery locations.
