This position is located in Memphis, TN - We are seeking a proficient Dispatcher to join our team at TransOne. This role is key to coordinating the movement of freight, managing driver schedules, and ensuring timely delivery of goods while effectively communicating with customers. The ideal candidate will have a background in trucking or the intermodal industry and will be able to thrive in a fast-paced dynamic environment. You will be a vital role in servicing our customers and supporting our drivers and contractors. You will use the resources available to triage, plan, and distribute work to available drivers & contractors. This position is required to be on-site daily in the Memphis, TN office location.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop, facilitate and implement all phases of the driver hiring process.
- Source candidates through job boards, referrals, networking and job fairs or recruiting events.
- Conduct initial qualification reviews and select qualified driver candidates as per federal guidelines and company policy.
- Maintain regular communication with candidates throughout the hiring and onboarding process.
- Collaborate with management to identify and recommend salary ranges, incentives and other pertinent details.
- Work closely with safety and operations to ensure compliance with DOT, FMCSA and company hiring standards.
- Assist with maintaining driver qualification files.
- Coordinate orientation sessions, ensure DOT regulatory paperwork is completed timely, and provide explanations of company policies.
- Maintain accurate records of applicant tracking and hiring metrics including applicant flow, hiring timelines, turnover trends and staffing needs. Maintain confidentiality of driver applicant information.
- Communicate effectively with drivers to support retention efforts.
- Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.
- A positive attitude, willingness to learn
- 2 years of experience in a talent acquisition or similar role.
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations related to transportation safety, including FMCSA and DOT regulations and Commercial Driver’s License requirements.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to deliver effective safety training programs.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and applicant tracking systems (ATS).
- Strong attention to detail and follow-through.
- Previous recruiting, transportation logistics, or human resources experience preferred.
- Knowledge of DOT/FMCSA regulations and driver qualification requirements preferred.
- Experience Profit Tools (transportation management system)
- Experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Diligence with a high degree of accuracy.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and critical thinking skills.
- This position operates in a dynamic, fast-paced, professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers and phones. While performing the duties of this job, you will be regularly required to talk, read, hear, sit, and use your hands to type.
