Position Summary

Conduct testing of petroleum products and maintain appropriate records/documentation of operations. Ensure appropriate instrument operation, quality control and instrument maintenance

Job Responsibilities

  • Conduct testing of petroleum products and maintain appropriate records/documentation of operations
  • Ensure appropriate instrument operation, quality control, instrument maintenance and documentation.
  • Interpret and communicate results of oil samples along with answering technical questions for the client
  • Assist with laboratory inventory
  • Complies with environmental regulations when using, dispensing, or handling hazardous and non-hazardous materials and waste
  • Maintains a safe and secure working environment, including correcting unsafe acts/conditions, cleaning and following good lab practices.

Qualifications

  • Associates Degree in science or related field, or equivalent lab experience
  • 2-5 years of lab analysis experience
  • Demonstrated leadership/supervisory experience
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills
  • Good math, analytical, and organizational
  • Ability to deal with a variety of situations and to make decisions and adjustments as unexpected situations arise
  • Successfully pass a pre-employment drug test (do not test for THC / marijuana)
