Duties
- Assist with landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, trimming, planting, and pruning to keep outdoor areas vibrant and healthy
- Operate grounds maintenance equipment such as power tools, lawnmowers, trimmers, and excavators safely and efficiently
- Support irrigation system installation, repair, and management to ensure proper watering of plants and lawns
- Identify various plants, trees, and shrubs to assist with planting plans and health assessments
- Perform hardscape construction tasks like installing pathways, patios, or retaining walls under supervision
- Follow safety protocols diligently during all outdoor activities to prevent accidents and ensure a secure work environment
- Support seasonal tasks such as snow plowing or tree care as needed to maintain year-round landscape excellence
Requirements
- Previous outdoor work experience or background in landscaping or grounds maintenance preferred
- Knowledge of landscape maintenance techniques including mowing, edging, pruning, and planting
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, irrigation systems, and landscaping equipment operation
- Ability to identify plants and understand basic horticulture principles
- Mechanical knowledge related to equipment repair or troubleshooting is a plus
- Strong adherence to safety protocols during all activities to promote a safe working environment
- Construction experience or familiarity with hardscape installation is advantageous
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and lift heavy materials when necessary
