Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and energetic Landscape Laborer to join our dynamic outdoor maintenance team. Duties
- Assist with landscape maintenance tasks such as mowing, trimming, edging, and pruning to keep grounds looking pristine
- Operate a variety of grounds maintenance and landscaping equipment including power tools, lawn mowers, trimmers, and irrigation systems
- Perform planting, watering, fertilizing, and plant identification to promote healthy growth
- Support hardscape projects by preparing sites and assisting with installation of features like pathways or retaining walls
- Follow safety protocols diligently during all outdoor activities to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and team members
- Assist with seasonal tasks such as snow plowing or leaf removal to maintain landscape accessibility and appearance year-round
Qualifications
- Prior experience in outdoor work or grounds maintenance is preferred but not required; a strong willingness to learn is valued highly
- Basic mechanical knowledge related to landscaping equipment and tools
- Familiarity with landscape maintenance practices including mowing, gardening, tree care, and pest management (pesticide application) is a plus
- Experience operating power tools, hand tools, and irrigation systems safely and effectively
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to outdoor work environments
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor outdoors in various weather conditions for extended periods
- Valid driver’s license is preferred for operating equipment or traveling between sites
