What are the responsibilities and job description for the Order Entry/ Customer Service position at U.S. Hose and Coupling?
Key Responsibilities
As an Order Entry Specialist, accuracy, communication, and timeliness are critical. This role is responsible for the following:
Order Processing
- Accurately and promptly enter all received customer orders.
- Ensure orders are processed in accordance with established procedures and timelines.
Bill of Materials (BOM) Review
- Verify that all items on each order align with the correct assembly specifications.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies before orders are released.
Communication & Collaboration
- Proactively communicate with sales representatives regarding discrepancies, missing information, or potential issues.
- Ask clarifying questions related to BOMs or order details to ensure complete accuracy.
- Maintain open communication with internal teams to support smooth order flow.
Order Printing & Distribution
- Print same-day orders (bulk and air hose) and notify the industrial and Teflon/hydraulic teams.
- Print all metal hose orders for the Warehouse Manager, regardless of ship date.
Workload Management
- Monitor order entry workload and turnaround times.
- Escalate delays to the designated backup person to ensure deadlines are met.
Performance Goals
- Maintain an order entry error rate of less than 2% per month.
- Achieve a yearly order entry error rate below 15%.

Pay: $16.47 - $20.06 per hour
